— From 'A Year of Positive Thinking'
Hi! I'm Stephanie, and I'd love to share a little about myself so you can get to know me.
I’ve been happily married for 34 years to my college sweetheart. We’ve raised three wonderful daughters, welcomed two amazing sons-in-law into our family, and are excitedly awaiting our first grandbaby. Faith and family are at the heart of who I am.
Outside of counseling, I find peace in nature and enjoy staying active through cross-training and hiking. Most mornings, you’ll find me on my back porch with a cup of chai tea, reflecting and slowing down for quiet moments with God. I’ve learned that creating space to breathe, be grateful, and notice the beauty around me is good for my soul.
Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward clarity, healing, and emotional wellness. It takes courage to begin—and I’d be honored to be part of your path forward.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I’ve had the privilege of walking with individuals, couples, and families through a wide range of challenges. I’ve worked with all ages in both faith-based and clinical settings.
My approach to therapy is warm, authentic, and grounded in respect for your story. I aim to create a space where you can feel truly safe, seen, and supported. I also value the role of gentle humor in the healing process—it can bring ease and help foster meaningful connection.
I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling that weaves together spiritual and clinical support.
